MILLER TIME: RESTORE MEDIA'S PRESIDENT NAMED TO PRESTIGIOUS BOARD

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America (ICA & CA) elected Peter H. Miller, president of Restore Media, LLC, as a member of its board of directors at a meeting on October 20, 2008. Miller, who has worked actively with the board since 2001, will serve as a director through 2011.

ICA & CA is the leading national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the practice and appreciation of the classical tradition in architecture and the allied arts. It has programs for students, design and building professionals, and the general public in the United States and Europe. Its academic programs include collaborating with Georgia Tech University in a course of study that leads to a master of science degree in classical design, continuing education courses covering a wide variety of topics, study tours, seminars, and intensive winter and summer programs for professionals.

ICA & CA and Restore Media collaborate on several regular initiatives, including an educational program for Restore Media’s bi-annual Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference and participation in the company’s annual Palladio Design Awards, a competition that recognizes excellence in classical design in residential, commercial, public, and institutional architecture. “Some of our most loyal magazine readers and conference attendees are long-time members of the institute,” says Miller.

“I am honored to serve on the board of directors with so many dedicated and talented professionals and patrons of classical architecture,” he adds. “In my role, I hope to  advance traditional building practice and principles and help Americans celebrate our architectural heritage.”
